This morning I went on a fun run. I was confident that I would run all the way but I didn’t 😢
I was ok and got into my stride on the 1st 1K. Then the hills started and I walked the rest 😢 It was such a hard course and I feel such a failure.
I got round in 50 minutes and got my medal. At least I didn’t come last, lolx
How can it be failure?
You registered.
You went to the event.
You took part.
You finished.
You weren't last.
You got a medal for goodness sake!
Maybe the run itself wasn't what you wanted, but come on!
Failure? No.
Keep on keeping on!
It was a nice environment to run/walk as well. I will try again but I’ll make sure that I do more training 🏃♀️
Come on T_w! You were out there weren’t you? I know you were a bit disappointed that you couldn’t run the whole thing but as you said - it was hilly! And I bet there would have been a time not so long ago when you wouldn’t have even entered for it never mind done it as a walk/run in a very respectable time. So well done you - give yourself a pat on the back and be proud of your bling!
I’ll wear it like the gold medal in the Olympic Games, lolx 🏅 It’s a starting point I suppose so when I go again, I’ll beat that time xx

That is fantastic that you tried it. Really good. The hill would trip me up too. I must train more going up hills rather than down them.

You are definitely not a failure Tazzy_wazzy . You entered you took park and you got to the finish line. It maybe wasn't the way you wanted it but there is plenty time for more.

No way are you a failure! It's so easy to beat ourselves up when things don't go exactly how we'd hoped, but when we give ourselves a break and treat ourselves the way we would a friend, magical things happen. Be proud of yourself and your medal and keep running 🏃♀️😊

Hiya, yes I'm out there now that the weather had picked up a little. With any luck I'm doing another 5K run next month. So I'm tooting along the best I can. As love by as the government doesn't make us stay in all the time, I'll be out there. I hope you're coping and enjoying your running as well. Take care and stay safe xx

I'm doing alright. Still running, more so than every now that I'm not able to work due to government guidelines to close our business.
