You may remember me, the woman moaning about not being able to do he tough twenty minute run.
After 4 weeks and I've lost count of the repeats I have finally done it!! 20 minutes and 17 seconds to be precise. None of it was easy but around minute 14-16 felt slightly less hard.
Anyway, DONE!

I fell into the trap “if I can run for 20 mins this should be easy, so I’ll go a bit faster.” This is definitely not the case! You also find once you start running for longer it takes about 10 mins to settle into a rhythm, so intervals of 10 minutes can be tricky, as you start walking just as you’ve found a rhythm; then have to go through it all again!
Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran 🏃🏾 😊
Brilliant - such a landmark run, that one! Good luck with Week 6 - some find it odd going back to intervals after the block run of 20 mins - keep believing you can do this! 👍🙂
I discovered something called toxic 10 this week after posting about finding the first 5 mins really tough. It turns out the first 5,10,15 mins for everyone is a challenge and then become a little less tough...
this has really helped me since with battling the demons at the beginning of these longer runs x
