Set off for W5R2. I typically have three apps open: C25K with Michael, MapMyWalk (I may start using the MMrun version!) which I start as I set off as it logs my calories across to MyFitness Pal, and Spotify. Today, shaking it up a bit I had my audiobook for a change. Off I went. Got through my warm-up walk, 8 min slow jog (with thanks to Michael along the way), recovery walk, and then started my second 8 min jog. Roughly 2 mins in remembered I hadn't started MMWalk. D'oh! So I started it as I jogged. And I jogged, and I jogged. And Michael said nothing, not a peep. Oh, says I, instead of halfway, I bet he's waiting to say I'm closer to the end... and I jogged. Hmmm, maybe he'll only tell me "you have sixty seconds"... Nope - I had somehow stopped him when I started MMWalk. Grrr. So, I checked MMWalk and that had already recorded more than 8 minutes! That means I ran TEN minutes+ without any encouragement from Michael.
On the bright side, the book was good and I covered almost 4 km with my run/walk.
I never used the app for this very reason, it fails, the podcasts may not be to everyone's taste when it comes to the music on them but they never fail.
Well done on the 10 minutes running, it's amazing what you can do when you aren't thinking about it.
If someone would have said to you go and run for 10 minutes you would have said you couldn't do it, keep this in mind for you later runs.
So funny...I know the problem too well. I like the app with Spotify podcast or Kobo audio books but start to add in blue tooth earphones or the Samsung health app and things started to go a bit pear shaped. 🍐🏃♀️🙃👍
