How hard is starting week 3?

Just had a sneaky peek at week 3 and the 3 minute run sounds hard. I'm sure it's tried and tested any advice?

Just run... slow and steady... relax and know you are ready for it:)

Just gentle jog don’t speed up small steps and you will get there and don’t bounce. Good luck

Yup, keep it slow, I was also quite intimidated by that one. Trust in the plan and when you want to stop, slow down instead. Very important to remember that!!

So I’m on W3R3 next. Felt exactly the same as you (did my second run this morning) The step up to 3 minutes made me very nervous and when I completed the first run I didn’t get the same “high” as previous weeks achievements. I found it much harder but doable if you keep it slow. This morning was better ... I’m slow and keep it that way focusing on my pace and posture rather than the time. I find when I think I need to stop or can’t do it I slow it down more and keep going. It’s totally doable (of course) Keep posting and try not to focus on the time but do focus on your pace is my best advice as a newbie 😊

Don't look ahead on the programme, just trust it and keep putting one foot in front of the other - slowly!

Good luck

Ive just completed W3 yesterday. It did fee daunting, but slow and steady, one foot in front of the other & banging tunes in my ears and I did it. More mind over matter than fitness in my case! :) good luck!

I found wk3 better than wk2. Slow and steady. You can do it .

Like everyone else, just take it easy and run at your own pace. I did W3R2 last night and it's definitely manageable.

Keep on keeping on!

You can do it! Follow the trainer, I’m 67 and on W5 R2 today, so if I can do it........!

Think it's more psychological, slow and steady, u can think about speed way later down the line

Look at the TOTAL running time, not the length of the individual running bits. It will help hopefully.

I was worried about that too. I'm up to week 3, run 3 tomorrow. I didn't think I could do 3 mins, but I did. Stick with it and no matter how tired you are, finish it. It's week 4 I'm worried about now!.

I’m on W3 and when that popped up is was no way Cani do that, but did it slow down and remember to breath. Did my second run for the week today and managed it again and once the 30 minutes was up manage to carry on doing 60 second runs and walks upto 50 minutes and passed the 5k woo hoo so happy
