Congratulations on completing your first run in nearly 50 years, hope you enjoyed it.

Congratulations on starting C25K and welcome to the forum, just take all the runs slowly, you can repeat any runs or week's if you wish, drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration, onwards and upwards to run 2 of week 1. 😊 🏃🏾

Well done! BUT, forget about distance for now. Remember that the program is a time-based one, despite the catchy title. Distance will come eventually... Only about 10% of C25K graduates reach 5k in Week 9 (30 mins), so be nice to yourself!

Good luck!

4K in W1R1 with only 8 minutes of running? You must have had a hot poker up your backside! Well done on getting started.

That’s a big distance for the first run, well done!

Just read a thread elsewhere and it made me realise that I may have breached a convention here! The 3.98 km was a combined run and walk distance NOT just the run distance.

Sorry for any misleading

🙂 as i was curious i looked back to my week 1 distance and it was about the same (including the warm up snd warm down). You're doing brilliantly.. distance isn't important the fact you've completed the run is.. nice one!
