I’ve just done my first run (shuffle) and feel amazing. I thought I’d really struggle but was ok as tan at a snails pace but the endorphins I got are amazing and I just want to run again. It’d be great just to chat with people in a similar situation, I’m 51, overweight and currently unhealthy but want to get fit, get back into exercise and keep motivated!
look forward to reading and chatting with you all

oh thank you so much I will have a look now. I looked at something earlier on the forum avoit slow running which was really helpful. I used to run too fast which is why although it was tough today I made sure to keep at a slow pace or else I know I’ll give up and it made me really enjoy it also.
thank you so much, it was hard as it was raining and grey but I had it in my head I had to do it today and I will def keep in mind not to worry about the pace.
aw thank you. I will 😀 almost looking forward to going tomorrow now, it’s so great having the encouragement and seeing everybody’s stories. Thank you 🙏
Welcome to this wonderful forum. It’s packed with lots of goodies, love, advice and wonderful ! wonderful ! people….It’s so great to have you here!👍🏃♀️😂😂Enjoy! Remember all of us here had to start somewhere Looking forward to your great achievements!👏👏😂
awww thank you so much, getting that message is so inspiring! I couldn’t go last night as I had to stay really late at work and felt quite disappointed but getting your message and know I can go for my second run tonight has cheered me up 😀 thank you 😊
You’re doing brilliantly. I’ve just looked up what the collective noun for a group of snails is and it’s an “escargotoire”. That’s what we are here! That slow and steady pace is perfect for couch to 5k. Just enjoy being in good company! 🏃♀️🐌❤️
