I nearly didn’t go, it’s was raining and blowing a gale but I pulled up my big girl pants and did it anyway and found to my surprise there is something quite almost exhilarating running with the rain and wind!
I found it hard, different route tonight and a good uphill to start which made my legs feel like jelly but i didn’t stop, just slowed down until I am sure a snail overtook me. However the subsequent runs didn’t seem as bad then.
I really did notice the extra 30 secs running though. They felt like a lifetime by the fifth running segment!
Well done, it is weird how at the start I thought I wouldn't be able to run in anything other than fine weather, but have had a few absolute downpours and actually quite enjoy light rain as it's really refreshing, and as someone pointed out on here, once you're wet, you're wet, and we are actually waterproof beings! 🤣
Good luck with the rest of your journey, you're doing great! 👍🏃♀️
Well done for trying hard! I'm at the same stage as you, did W2 R1 yesterday in the wind, but was so pleased with myself for managing it! I am actually looking forward to going out again tomorrow, which I never thought I would say! Good luck with W2 R2
