Due to sickness/coughs/colds in December, I haven’t ran for 3 weeks now. I was pretty gutted as I was wk 7/ run 2, and wanted to progress and finish before the end of 2019. However, today has been the first day I’ve felt I could go out and run.
No pressure on how far I go or for how long time wise; I just wanted see what I can do and what progress I can take from today. I was pleasantly surprised when I went out with running partner (my mum), when I ran for 25 minutes straight through.
So if you’ve been feeling under the weather and had to take a break, don’t feel guilty or disappointed because you can always hop back into running when you’re feeling well enough. Sometimes your body needs a rest, and it will let you know!!
Glad to be back, and welcome to any new runners for 2020! 🏃♀️☺️

Well good for you, that's nice to hear. My enforced break over Christmas only lasted nine days and I was quite nervous about getting back out there. However, it's actually been good. One thing that's come out of it is that a niggling hip injury seems to have disappeared. I was getting worried it was something sinister, but it appears not 🤞.
Yes my hip started to hurt a little however after a while the pain went off. I did enjoy the run tonight which was very surprising. Glad you’ve got back into it Speedy60, and most importantly enjoy it! 👍🏻
