After umming and ahhing about whether I should run this morning or wait to see how my physio appt went, I decided to go. Aspire24 had suggested that I try a flat road run rather than my usual trail, so thatβs what I did. Fortunately I have some normal running shoes albeit Skechers GOrun, so off I went.....and it was great! My Achilles felt pretty much the same as before I went out, so π and many thanks Aspire24.
Physio this afternoon was also as successful as it can be. Things progressing, some painful massage, some ultrasound, and advised not to run more than twice a week for the time being, returning in a fortnight.
So all good at the mo. Happy running folks πββοΈππ½ββοΈπ

Thatβs great news!! And they have given you guidance as to how much and how often etc. Mentally too itβs a challenge to even set off so well done you π. I was going to run today but my tendon was not feeling great so will see tomorrow. Anyway itβs lovely to hear you running again π€
Fantastic you are able to get out and run and pain free π€. Just take it easy. The strength work is definitely something that will help. I'm trying to do that too, but don't enjoy it very much πͺ! Enjoy your road to recovery. πββοΈ
