Happy New Year to everyone! I wanted to ask some advice if I may.
I haven’t been on in a long while as due to medical checks I haven’t ran since mid October which has upset me quite a bit.
I had graduated and was regularly running 5, 6,7,8 kms and even reached 10km on one occasion!
Anyway , what I’d like to ask is, if In the next few weeks I’m ok to start up again, where do I start when I’ve been off for nearly 3 months? I’m still regularly walking the pooch and haven’t gained excessive amounts of weight.
I definitely don’t want to overdo things but part of me doesn’t want to start from the beginning either.
I think I was thinking around week 4 /5 but I’m not sure. Thanks for any advice . I’m not sure how quickly you lose condition as before the c25k, I was stuck firmly on the couch !

As explained in the guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5... all anyone can do after a break is go out for a gentle run and see what you can comfortably manage.
I personally believe it is better to err on the side of caution, as you need to recondition your body to the impact of running, but you may surprise how much condition you retain.
Just go out for a run no pressure and keep it slow.
You said you were running regular betweèn 5-8 k so you may just suprise yourself of how much running ability you still have. Good luck and keep us posted 😊😊
I am in exactly the same place as you , not run since august after knee problem I had been running 10k pretty regularly, I’ve started right back at the begging.. it’s surprising how hard it is ... I figured it’s a good way of easing back gently... good luck
