The human body is amazing.

I played the whole 80 minutes on Sunday, only 13 of us against their 15 (for anyone that doesn't know anything about rugby that means a lot of running around πŸ˜œπŸ˜‚). By the end of it I was feeling it for sure but actually felt pretty strong and possibly one of the fittest on the field.

Next morning however, run day, I was in absolute agony. My entire body ached, my ankles were so stiff it took the whole warm up five minutes to even start to loosen them up.

I decided I would still try my best at the run. Completely ready to be overwhelmed by exhaustion and pain but still determined to give it a damned good shot.

Honestly, my breathing was fine, nothing too desperate and my aching legs and ankles didn't hurt any more during the entire run that they did before I started.

So the outcome was I set off on this 25 minute run with a knackered, aching body and it didn't actually feel any worse while I was running. Admittedly I did go slower than normal but hey, I did it.

We truly are amazing and capable of so much more than we expect.

We WILL all do this thing, I know it πŸ‘πŸ˜Š

Well done πŸ‘ I’ve only got one more interval run to go before I get onto the solid running weeks. Can’t wait to be honest. I’ve had a couple of sessions where I am stiff at the start but they usually get better during the warm up.

Exactly, I find it doesn't make it any worse to run on stiff ankles or aching legs, just hurts already but run through it and I'm certainly feeling the benefits now πŸ‘

What we may lack is determination, but if we have that and a good plan, we can do it πŸ‘
