Well that was a slog.

I really wasn't up for this morning's run but actually didn't have a valid excuse, so I told myself off and got out there.

I think it was harder work mentally than physically although I was pretty knackered by the time I finished!

I'm actually looking forward to the full 30 minutes of next week now πŸ˜πŸ‘

You've really got the running bug if you can come off one run saying it was a slog and you didn't want to do it the looking forward to the next - great work

Not sure on that to be honest granny, I'm enjoying the progress and improved fitness that comes with it. Maybe when I get to the level I want to be at I'll start enjoying the run πŸ˜‚

What's your target or just happy to reach 30mins at the moment?

Happy to be running 30 minutes at the moment. I don't really have a goal but the next step would be 5k in half hour, that would be a good boost for me. I need to increase my burst speed for playing rugby with the young 'uns, they just run past me at the moment πŸ˜‚

🀣 that could be because they are younger, we have to give them something to feel better than us at. Good luck on 5k in 30. Happy running

I'm with you all the way with that feeling. My wife always says it's more about mental effort than physical.

I've remember that when I've been on a really tough run, round about your stage in the program funnily enough. Think about other things and let your legs just do their thing. One foot in front of the other and just keep doing it!

And you did it! Final week is on it's way!

It’s definitely a mental thing. Since I started the longer runs in the final weeks I always start with a sense of dread that I’m not going to make it through and yet as the run progresses and the minutes tick away there is always a sense of surprise and ultimately joy when I realize I actually can do it. πŸ™‚

Yes I'm exactly the same Rig, this program is surprising isn't it? It's incredible to think only 9 weeks ago I struggled to run at all, now I'm running half an hour!!! Mind boggling.

Actually, for me it's come down to believing in the program and giving it my best shot every day. I cannot recommend this program highly enough
