So, week nine and run three, almost (intentionally) put run 'free' in there instead πŸ˜‚

I'm not gonna lie, that run was hard work, a gentle reminder that it was only nine weeks ago I couldn't run for more than a minute.

Twenty minutes in my legs were just gone, back a few weeks to aching like they're either gonna fall off while I run or as soon as I stop, might as well keep going then.

First rugby training last night since before Christmas so I'm definitely putting my tired legs down to that πŸ˜‚

I'm not hung up on distance yet, that's to build on, but the last kilometer run this morning took three minutes longer than the three kilometers before it. It didn't feel quite that slow to me but there is a short, sharp, steep uphill before my final leg back home which I really had to dig deep to get up.

We made it though. I gave the dog a good pat and congratulated her on finishing the couch to 5k program, she didn't seem that bothered πŸ˜‚

Absolutely amazing program, thank you whoever devised and developed this, thank you to everyone on here for reading, supporting and sharing advice.

I might be the oldest one on the pitch (and still pretty slow), but I'm quietly confident I'm now one of the fittest πŸ‘πŸ˜Š

Now left wondering what to title my next posts πŸ€”

Actually, look out for My 'Couch to 5k' diary (wk10 d1) because I'm not actually up to 5k yet πŸ‘

Well done and congratulations. Often sheer grit and determination get us there but it’s amazing when you consider how far we’ve got. Well done to the dog too 😊

Absolutely, the program is a good one but we still have to be committed. It is the runs we do thinking "I'm not up for this one" that take the determination, grit and commitment, but if we have that, we CAN do it πŸ‘
