-2 and dark, I must be committed to doing this eh?!
The dog is faring much better than I am, I looked down at her at one point and she's happily trotting along at her leisure and I imagine I look like a running beetroot, steaming and puffing π
The fist thirty seconds was a wake up call, a reminder that I'm not there yet, starting to breathe heavier than I should be so early on and the legs starting to tire already. Mind over matter, a couple of deep breaths to get the breathing settled and just keep moving those legs. I soon settled into it and was quite happy with the first run.
I had to turn my music off during the walking section as I couldn't hear all the words of wisdom and encouragement from the app. It's been getting quieter and quieter as the weeks have gone on to the point I couldn't hear a thing, I had to listen hard for anything that sounded remotely like you can slow down now. So I'm now running with no music π
Wednesday's run coming soon π

Doing great, sounds like your struggling with the app and music. I used the podcasts where music is included as part of the dialogue if you dont mind listening to random music. Since graduation I've been running without music until last run where I'm trying again.
Yes, well done to both of you sound's like you are really doing well. Mind over matter, I think that's the key, although I don't find the physical side of this easy, for me I am sure that mentally feeling that I can do it is a much bigger challenge. I've tried & failed with the music thing. Initially I thought that the distraction of music would take my mind off the fact that I was running, and running for such a long time (and I've only completed week 3 so far!). Unfortunately although it was a distraction, it worked against me as I was running more in time to the music which then made me run too quickly and tire too soon. Now I just have the app and a metronome playing really slowly to encourage to slow down even more, so far this seems to work better for me.
