* "SPOILER ALERT" *

20 minutes!!!!

I had a sneaky peak at today's run before starting it up, run for twenty minutes?!!

Training last night wasn't too bad, and actually the warm up of running round the pitch was progress seen as I managed the whole thing without needing to stop.

Had a sore throat the last couple of days which had developed into a congested head this morning, so after seeing today's session, I will admit I thought today's the day I'm gonna have to start this week again.....

I set off though, with every intent on giving it a damned good go. Calfs screaming at me after about ten seconds as usual. I just told myself to run through it and they'll settle down. They did. I kept running (well, slowly jogging) and before I knew it I'd done five minutes.

After about eight minutes I was definitely in my rhythm and comfortable but then tripped over. I run partly on a dirt track with some rough tarmac thrown on it I think πŸ˜‚ I normally stick to the outside where it's flatter but for some reason this morning I ran up the middle, in the dark and paid the price. I landed heavily on my knee and hands and the dog thought I was down there to play with her. By the time I'd got her off me and back to my feet I think I lost about twenty seconds but got straight back into running (sorry, jogging at a sensible pace 😝)

I was certainly feeling it in my calfs again for the last stretch but by now I was determined I was going to actually do this. So much was my determination that when I was told to slow down and walk I kept running for possibly another minute and a half to make up for my little lay down about half way through.

When I did stop running though it's like I could float, suddenly the legs that are so heavy and screaming now seem to have disappeared and I almost feel like I need to hold onto something as gravity has stopped working πŸ˜‚

So there we have it, I honestly thought I wasn't going to make this run today and although I am committed and determined I really thought that was a jump too far. However, I did do it, I just knuckled down to see how well I could do and actually did it. It really is true, if you've got to this day, you have it in you πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

20 minutes non stop is brilliant, you've obviously got lots of determination to fall like that and continue to run. Enjoy your weekend. Well done you 😊😊

Wow, well done. Running for over 20 minutes with added acrobatics as well, not to mention feeling under the weather, it almost sounds like you're showing off! Seriously though I bet you do feel great having achieved that, and you deserve to, enjoy your rest days and the rest of your journey.

I'm more impressed with the program than I am with myself Alast, I will certainly be singing Couch 2 5k's praises to anyone wanting to start running

Super well done & admirable recovery after your fall! πŸ˜„

Today’s run is such a β€œmind run” - no stopping you now. πŸ˜„

Enjoy W6,( my favourite!) but don’t fall into the trap of going too fast as many of us have! πŸ˜‰

I had a look at next week and it's broken up again so I was a bit confused, but I have utmost faith that the program knows what to do so will follow the plan and keep hoping for the best πŸ‘
