Been running for 6 weeks now and I’m still repeating week 1 but there is certainly improvement. Every time I’m running so does my nose???? What I’m earth. Does anybody else suffer from this? Does anybody have any tips? Thanks in advance 🤧

Yep all the time - sleeves and gloves come in useful when nobody’s looking 😂

My nose tends to 'run' as well, just a little, usually when I am at parkrun my nose starts to run a little when I, its owner has ran around 3 kilometers, I always make sure I have a handkerchief in my left hand pocket, not to blow it, just to wipe it a little 😂

Definitely something to do with cold weather . My nose runs while running then once I'm home it stops. 😊

Well, in a horribly gross way, I'll confess to blowing my nose into my hand, then just shaking it off. I've also blown my nose on the running shirt I'm wearing, or sleeve of my running shirt.

As we all know though, if no-one saw it, then it didn't happen.

If someone did see it, they only get to critisize if they've ran in the freezing cold and not had to do something similar. Also though, if they have to critisize, they need to get a life.

That's the law.

Let us all take a moment, to remember with great compassion and sympathy the runner who had to "answer the call of nature" during a competitive run. While I've not done that myself, I did very seriously consider peeing myself during one long run (I mean, you're not going to call a halt to the run are you) , I did manage to hold on as it happens.

Running is not an activity for the meek. You will sweat, you will be snotty, you might find yourself weeing in the woods, or trying not to poo your pants...I have blown my nose on my shirt, a leaf, my buff and into mid air (and even into a tissue!) Being a tough dude is a good way to go!

hehe....yes! Part of my exit from house goes 'Keys:check, stopwatch (on phone):check, tissue: check.' Always...about 10 mins in..my nose starts to run. Once had to blow my nose on a leaf. Now I don't leave the house without a tissue. I live a milk free life so it's not dairy.

It happens to all of us, it’s because of the temperature difference between your lungs and the outside. I stuff tissues in pockets or long sleeves if I have them, if not I stuff them in my bra.

Yep, Me too. It's very common, I read an article on what to expect when you start running and it was clearly mentioned. something to do with the stimulation of your sinuses I think.

I’m adding to the others - tissue up a sleeve, sleeve, buff, hand or anything else that’s handy. And I sniff a lot!
