I always get a runny nose when I run. It’s a real pain. I thought it was normal but my husband doesn’t have a problem.

Any one else have the same annoyance ?

Hi, I get the same no matter what the weather is. Still cannot figure out why.

Haha, yeah me! Wind, sun, being cold, being warm, anything. It's a pain when I'm running for sure

It is a pain and I’m sure it affects my breathing pattern.

As we warm up, so does the mucus... sadly this means it becomes more fluid... I get it on some runs and not others... gloves are washed a lot 😂

Yes I’ve found that to work 😂 but going to try wrapping a handkerchief around my hand/wrist for when it’s too hot to wear a glove 😄

Don’t know that it’s just when running in my case - I don’t go anywhere without a tissue!

Me too, always have a tissue but it’s fiddly trying to blow, breathe and run all at the same time 😄

Mine is like a tap...sometimes there are 4 of us on a run and my nose is the only one to flow. It was worse in my job with public order training when I had helmet and balaclava on and couldnt get to my nose. The hotter I got, the quicker the tap flowed. Blowing my nose before going out doesnt make a scrap of difference either.

Who’d known it was such a problem for everyone ? 😄

Yup, I calculate the number of tissues I need to carry by the distance I intend to run....at least one per 2 KM.

I have two ways of dealing with this (because it never stops!). One is to put a buff around my wrist. However, in summer I soak this in cold water so it's not much use as a nose wipe. The other thing is to safety-pin a hanky inside my running top, rather than take tissues with me - tissues invariably either get sweaty and soggy before I need them, or seem to blow away 🙄 It still doesn't solve the problem of having to blow my nose on the run though!
