Runny Nose?

Does anybody else have to take tissues on their runs? I don’t know if it’s the exercise or the chilly weather, but my nose constantly runs….when I run!

glad it’s not just me! Hubby said I was doing something wrong if I’m blowing my nose whilst running 😂

Definitely not just you!

Mine does too and I've been known to forget tissue and sniff all the run

Or if you wear gloves like I do then it's the back of the hand.

Yes! Absolutely! 🤣

I used to but found they didn't cope well with rain so now have a selection of little handkerchiefs which I pop in the machine with my running kit after each run. No more soggy tissues on my runs and added bonus of no more forgotten tissues in the washing machine.

Great idea! I hate finding the remnants of tissues in my washed kit! 🤦🏼‍♀️

I do the same: I have a couple boxes of cloth tissues from a now defunct (I think) Canadian company... They are perfect for that nose of mine that loves to run a tad with just about every movement...

EDIT: The company - Hankette - appears to still be around (or again?)... At least in Canada: ecofreako.ca/collections/ha...

I also have watery eyes, so take tissues for my nose and often wear gloves and use those to wipe my eyes. My nose and eyes water even if I am walking , a good run/walk would be a 2 tissue one, sometimes if there is lots if pollen or if it is windy it can be a 4 or even 5 tissue run!

Yes, me! I invested in hankies after running a half marathon where the heavens opened and tissues disintegrated. Then a gel exploded on my fingers, and the soggy tissues stuck to the gel. You can imagine the mess as I crossed the finish line! 🤣

Me too! I have to keep a hankie gripped in one hand all the way as my nose is always running. Not easy to blow/wipe and keep running at the same time 😂

You’re not alone so do I. I keep a hankie in my pocket or stuffed up my sleeve or in my waistband. Changed to cloth Hankins as tissues just got too soggy with the number of times I have to blow my nose.

What a skill that is to blow and run as the same time 😆

I always forget to take tissues along and I end up as a snuffling blubbering running mess😅

Yes, all the time! I’m going to use hankies now after reading these comments as my pockets are full of soggy tissues after a run 🤧. I think I’ve perfected the art blowing and running but sometimes I use it as an excuse to stop and have a little rest 🤫😂

Yes, all the time. I do have sinus problems so that doesn't help, but I generally have to carry a tissue or two every time I run otherwise I'm constantly sniffing and that makes me feel worse.

With running, with walking, with chewing even! I once read somewhere that some noses are just build that way and they love to run with movement... I have a cotton hanky with me (almost) all the time (if I don't, yea, the sleeve will do...). It's still annoying, though I am not sure there's much we can do - other than be prepared...
