Never in my entire life did I ever think I could be called a runner. Never in my entire life did I ever think I'd want to be called runner.
But I have to say, I always feel so pleased for anybody that's posts their successful wk6 r3 run.
And now... it's me. I've done it. W6 completed. I cant believe I've already completed wk6. Me, a runner πππππ
And now it's on to big school and wk7. No turning back now, I'm gonna have to put my big boy pants on and do proper running all the time!! But first, a couple of well deserved rest days.
Slow and steady as you go now...relax into the lovely longer runs now... The newly forming running legs know what to do now... let them find their own happy pace
I think I've found my pace. It's been pretty steady over the last 3 runs. It wont get me to 5k in 30 minutes, but I dont care. I just want to get to 30 minutes
Brilliant ! Thatβs great youβve found the pace that suits you . When you just run with no pressure on yourself itβs amazing what you can achieve . Keep going - Graduate after your name soon enough .
Brilliant, well done! I felt just the same - never thought Iβd even want to be a runner, never mind manage it π Youβre doing right, just concentrating on the time running, not trying to go faster and get to 5k. Plus, added bonus Iβve found is that when you do get to 5k, after youβve graduated, itβs another big boom of achievement, so itβs two celebrations for the price of one!
Really good point. I think my plan has always been to complete the program and then work on hitting 5k. I understand that no many make that distance by the end of wk9 r3, so I'm not putting any pressure on myself
The first time I did C25K* I started stretching the runs by 1min at a time once I got to week 7, so that by W9R3 I could actually keep it up long enough to get to a full 5K - about 34min in my case.
*long story... I've been beset by injury and illness since graduating just over a year ago. Tomorrow is W5R3 for the 3rd time!
Week six is the hardest I reckon, and now thatβs out of the way life gets better
Just go slowly now βοΈ No false moves and youβve got this Donβt get over-confident at this stage or you could tweak something. Steady as you go and bring this home πͺπππββοΈ
Itβs a brilliant programme and it will make a runner of you π
Goodness that takes some squeezingπ I prefer to be extra generous with my time and understanding far more important than any amount of money. Iβd heard a Yorkshireman calls a spade a bloody shovel, true?
Thatβs brilliant! Well Done You!! πππ Count down to your Graduation Day is properly on now but it sounds like youβll be grinning your way through each of the runsπ enjoy your well earned rest daysπ
Honestly I think thereβs only about 10% that get to 5k in 30 minutes. Itβs on a graph here somewhere! I still canβt do it, but I can now cover 10k as a happy plodder. I would just enjoy the rest of the programme and maybe have a 5k in 30 minutes as a goal post graduation? Park runs would be excellent for that. Best of luck to you and your wife. Sounds like youβre both addicted already π
Me too, just completed this run n feel amazed , never been a runner n can't believe I've got this far . . Keep going and we will be graduates before Xmas ππ
