W4R3 an early start in the dark !

Had to do this early today as daylight was starting and it was good except I felt a bit spooked on my own with no other joggers around and lorries parked up waiting to enter building sites. Not going to do that run at that time again!!

Bit of pain after run too so need to research support exercises.

I do enjoy running before breakfast but will find a better route. Suffering a bit from imposter syndrome as I can’t believe I have finished week4 . Too scared to look ahead to W5!! Off to sleep 💤 now as it’s been a long day!

Week 5 will be a breeze if you take it slow

Have a look at strength and flex as there are lots of exercises there to help

Be careful running in the dark you need to feel safe

You are doing great

Thank you! Yes I am now looking at strength and flex threads too. I will do a seafront run when it’s so dark in future. I’d rather mix with the dog walkers and dogs 🐕 too for that matter!

I agree with that, we found the park too dark this evening and i was concerned we might trip over something our seafront is lit up 😀

Good idea! Not sure our seafront has any light so I’ll need to look!!

Well done 👍 Glad you are going to find a safer route. Best to be able to relax and enjoy your run rather than be tense and worried! You are doing so well!! No imposter!! A real runner now!!

Take week 5 slowly, slowly and you will enjoy it. These first four weeks you have been building stamina & fitness and you are ready for week 5. Trust the program. It works in your favour!

Have a great weekend & enjoy your achievement 😆🎈

Thank you all your supportive comments. It’s so reassuring! I am going to trust the programme and make time for my runs. I hate being time pressured by other stuff.

I slept so well too and that’s a huge improvement as I think that has a positive impact on my running.

Enjoy your weekend too . 👍👏👏

Well done finishing week 4. Don’t worry about what comes next, just trust the plan, trust yourself and run slowly

Really well done. My favourite runs are early morning (6am) in the dark with no body around. Got to be honest though, since the clocks went back, I'm struggling to get up at that time.

Dont worry about week 5. This was when the words 'slow down' actually sunk in for me and I've pretty much started to enjoy running. Not always easy, but I'm starting to smile.

Really well done. Keep at it!

Thank you 😊. It is hard to get out at 6am but I do like as early as I can muster 😁.

I’ll try smiling too.. the dog walkers will think I’m a nutter ! I’ve realised that this malarkey is about legs and butt as I don’t get puffed so it is sinking in .

I will keep at it with fantastic support 😊thank you!
