Can't believe I'm finally to week 9. Just tried an afternoon run to see if I avoid shocking my lungs! Pleased to report it was ok I'm a bit disoriented as usually fall out of bed and go out straight for a run, the lungs certainly appreciated the extra few degrees!

Thanks Annieapple! I am just astounded that I have managed it. Just wish that I hadn't been put off at school!. My daughter (13) is thinking about starting, I have said I will return the programme with her if she wants me to!
That will be SO special & will give her a gift for life!!! Like you I was put off all sport at school, never encouraged!! Unless you were gifted you didnβt count!! We have amazed ourselves & this helpful supportive group has been a healing balm to many! π·

I was reading today that an apple a day (provided you eat the skin) can help improve lung function... something to do with quercetin, which is in all bright foods but noteably in apples... might be worth upping your apple intake. Weirdly I avoided them over the years but now have one every day, it just took me a while to find the best variety for my tastebuds ππ»
ππI have also discovered this past week that they are the BEST for heartburn. I was suffering late at night, googled home remedy...lo & behold....apples. Sneaked into kitchen and cut one up in desperation. Instant relief! Tried again since...again instantaneous!! Going home to get rid of the gaviscon!
