YES YES YES YES YES YES!!!!

Not only did I run 30mins non stop but I ran 5k as well. ...I actually had to run over 5k to get to 30mins. Its weird as I was out last night, didnt really drink much as I knew I'd be running this morning plus i realised that I hadn't drunk much water during the day so was worried I wasnt as hydrated as I would like to be. But I got thru it. Those last 5mins felt hard but knew I wasn't gonna stop especially when an elderly woman shouted "good for you, keep going!"

I have never run before apart from when I was at school and hated it then even though I knew I probably could be a decent runner if I put my mind to it. I was part of the "cool" kids crowd who didnt run!

Anyway I'm now 46 and decided that I want to be healthy & fit. I'm slightly overweight and could do with losing a few pounds but that's more vanity reasons as I'm happy with myself. However I do have a son with disabilities who require alot of support and I want to be around as long as possible for him. When I run, I run with him in the forefront of my mind, knowing I'm adding extra years to be around.

I'm so happy right now, this is amazing!!!

Can I ask what app do you use to time and map your runs please?

Thank you..its the Samsung health app on my phone. You set a target either distance or time, and gives you updates on the progress during the run. I set it by distance and actually feel motivated when you get progress after each km. Good luck x
