Week 1 completed

Week 1 completed! I’ve managed the three outings, enjoyed them (much to my surprise) and it’s felt easier each time. I don’t feel ready to make it any harder so I’m going to repeat week1 but nonetheless feeling very pleased to have been successful so far!!! 😃

Well done you...if you competed the runs comfortably, then do move on... you are ready for it:) Keep it steady and keep it slow and simply enjoy:)

I can’t say I’m completing them comfortably yet, hence sticking with Week 1, but I’m definitely getting there gradually.

Yay well done. That first run really is the hardest isnt it? Now, have couple of rest days and take wk2 nice and steady and you've nailed it

It’s your choice but bear in mind Week 2 is 9 minutes running and week 1 is 8 minutes running so the step up is less than you’d think.

Well done 👏. Everyone starts the programme with their own level of fitness. It's your run so do what you feel comfortable with.

Having said that, do try to push yourself, even if it's just slightly. It's when your body is pushed to do something new that it makes adjustments to accomodate the new demands.

Good luck

Well done. I repeated wk 1 and am considering repeating again for this week run. Good luck for next week which ever wk you decide to do.

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5... and you might find the post about mental approach helpful........ how do you know you won't manage the next week until you try?

That said, there is nothing wrong with repeating, but maintaining impetus is also important.

Enjoy your journey.
