Wow it was so hard ! Seemed to go on forever. I'm so happy I'm doing this and have this great app to help me. Hopefully in 9 weeks I'll be a much healthily thinner happier lady ....

Congratulations for getting started, dont know about treadmill as I do all my running outside - if you get the chance on a sunny day try it, lots of distractions to help pass the time. This is a fab plan and great community. Enjoy

Thank you for replying. I'll start running outside when I'm a bit healthier and thinner. Lack confidence unfortunately. Always wanted to run but that stopped me. So got a treadmill to help me with the start :)

Everyone has to do what suits them best, keep the pace slow and slam on some inspiring music or dance along to Christmas songs. Take care

Hey well done you for starting, it’s surprising how long a minute feels in the beginning

Trust the programme, go steady and slow, it’s learning how to run for a time and not how to run fast, that comes later and it will

Drink plenty of water every day, if you don’t already the extra water will help with weight loss.

Do go and read the guide there is so much good information in it on how to do this and stay injury free

Have fun and let us know how you get on.

After a few months running we haven’t lost much weight as we haven’t followed a weight loss diet but we have gone up and lost inches/centimeters off our waists as well as reducing blood pressure and cholesterol

I agree with grannytobe, I have thought about using a treadmill for the really horrible days and possibly if it gets icy out, but I like the distraction of the view and everything going on around me. The other benefit is having marking places 'yesterday I only ran to here, so thirty seconds if running extra gets me to here'.

I do remember thinking that a minute was a very long time on week one though, even with the distractions! Well done!

Great stuff! You are now done with the hardest part - starting. If the time feels long, take some favourite music or podcasts to listen to and distract your mind. And take it slowly. You can't believe how fast 9 weeks pass with Couch25k 😁

Well done on getting off the couch. Took me a very long time to get past that stage on onto run 1 😆.

If you take it slow and steady and trust in the program, you will do well.

Let us know how you get
