I've just done my first run !

I have been working up to this first run for a few weeks, i have never really done exercise in my life since school. My husband came with me and i waited until it was dark so no one could see me make a fool of myself. The half hour was the longest half hour of my life i thought it would never end. I am asthmatic so i have always found exercise difficult and made this an excuse for not excerting myself . I was proud of myself for making it through the first one and am now sat on the sofa a lovely shade of tomato. How long will i look like a tomato for ???

Welll done for your first run! I've been home an hour and showered and I'm still a lovely shade of tomato 😊 Think of it as a badge of honour! Hehe.

Keep up the good work, run when you feel comfortable, but don't think about other people ... no one cares! They're busy not tripping over their own feet too 😁 Xx

Well done for starting. As for the first run I thought I would die , but trust in this programme and follow this forum. Keep it up

Who cares what you look like? You look better being out there & coming home the shade of a tomato than not getting out there at all...as I’ve said in a reply to another post this evening, please don’t worry about what you look like, you may have inspired someone tonight to make a change too, just like you!! Very well done, you’ve got an exciting journey ahead, take it slowly & enjoy it 😊🏃🏼‍♀️

That's the runners red glow. It takes me about 2 hours to get to normal. Well done for getting off the couch and welcome to the programme 🏃‍♀️

My first day today too!! I ran in the rain to avoid witnesses to my saggy self struggling round the park. But hey we did it!! Bring on the next!

Yes you did it! Well done you ! All of us on here started at that nasty old week one, thought 60 seconds felt like eternity, couldn’t breath and felt self conscious ! But it won’t be long till you are looking back with a big smile amazing yourself at how much you’ve achieved so far!!! You’ve done the hardest part - starting the program! Keep it up we are all with you cheering you on !
