Have had 2 weeks off from running and tonight I went straight into a 5.8K....in this weather!!! Trainers are sodden and it took almost 50 mins π³...feeling tired but proud πππ
Rain!!!: Have had 2 weeks off from running and... - Couch to 5K
Rain!!!
Well done, you deserve to be proud. Keep warm then stuff these important shoes with newspaper to stop up the water.
Good run for you today in the β rain, Hope you enjoyed it,
Thank you! Yes, once Iβd got over the rain filled trainer situation, I did enjoy it!! I will be taking a towel for my seat to drive to work tomorrow as I think it will still be soaked π Iβll know for next time!!!
Fab....well done. I quite enjoy hitting the puddles π Cx
People were looking at my group with incredulity π. I was on my way to the meeting point and an older gentleman said βthatβs dedication for youβ weirdly, my thoughts were not about the rain but the idea that this man looked at me and saw me as a runner π still not feeling like a runner!
5.8k and 50 minutes of running you should be so pleased and proud. I just think wet trainers are all part of our running journey , mine were soaked on Monday. ππ
βοΈπWell done β you deserve to feel proud!
Well done πππ
Huge well done... rain and mud..perfect! x
πjust read your post and decided I couldnβt miss another run due to rain( here in Lancs) and decided to do the Speed bursts podcast so that I wouldnβt be out long. Quite exhilarating really but feet very wet. Iβm lucky that I donβt need to drive to anywhere to do a run
Well done! I bet you slept well ππ»π
Good for you! Like most of the UK, we are in the grip of a bloody monsoon where I live!! You did well to get out there and I bet youβre glad you did!
I am! I donβt think I would have been motivated enough if it wasnβt for the running club. I donβt lik e letting people down, esp our run leader who has an injury, yet still comes out on her bike to take us on our run! Lots donβt turn up this time of year but I like a challenge π
Fab...running in the rain when you're in the mood for it is great fun!
Well done on getting back to it ππββοΈπ
Thank you ππ» Youβve just got to keep going, havenβt you?? Hoping to do my first 10K next year π³
You'll have no problem with that if you carry on as you are π
Bridge to 10K is a great forum, friendly folks and a lot of the same people as on here...if you're not on it already, get over there!
It has Juju's Magic 10K plan which you can join up for, think it's about now it's starting but you can join in anytime if you decide to go for it ππ
Kudos to you Beany123 ...it was wild here in Yorkshire tonight, I dont know where you are but it was like being in a car wash?!! But flipping liberating?!! Good for us Beany
Iβm in Torquay, right by the coast. It was crazy yes! I am hoping itβs dry tomorrow night. Apparently parkrun was difficult on Saturday as it was windy too π¨π§
