Feeling deflated ๐Ÿ˜•

So my 2 year old woke up covered in vomit a couple of days back ๐Ÿคฎ

Last night, presumably courtesy of said 2 year old, I succumbed to a similar fate ๐Ÿ™„ (though managed to be somewhat more discerning with regard to the destination of my vomit...)

Was due a run this morning, obviously didnโ€™t go out. First time Iโ€™ve missed one since starting C25K ๐Ÿ˜•

Still feeling pretty awful and just on the hunt for lots of sympathy really!

Ach, you poor thing, I feel for you. Horrible being sick, and disappointing to miss a run ๐Ÿ˜ž But you know what? I bet your muscles will appreciate an extra rest, and when you get back out there (after rest, recovery, hydration), I bet youโ€™ll run your best run, and enjoy that fresh air soooo much! Hope youโ€™re getting looked after....

Iโ€™m doing ok, thank you for asking ๐Ÿ˜Š Loving the consolidation runs, still fretting about the tendons, but able to run, so I canโ€™t complain!

Ooh dear, poor you, first for finding your child like that and then, suffering the same thing yourself. Yes, the rest will do you good, yes, it is essential that you remain hydrated (this is not just a running thing, it's a being sick thing) and yes the runs will be waiting for you, but not until you're feeling ready for them yourself. I wish you both a speedy & complete recovery...

Thanks Alast, thatโ€™s so kind if you.

Am trying very hard to stay hydrated, but feel so grotty I am definitely down on the amount of water I usually drink. Will try to build up gradually tmrw...

Massive sympathy. I dedicated my run this morning to all on the IC couch, so count yourself into that group. You had a lovely long 48 minute run in the sun. Take care and I hope youโ€™re back running soon

Thatโ€™s such a lovely thing to do Grannytobe - thank you ๐Ÿ˜Š

Sounds like a beautiful run! ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ

For me just now, blue skies and the freedom to run and increase distance every week is amazing. I've spent all my life telling myself and others I'm not a runner and like everyone on this forum I am, all thanks to this wonderful plan. You'll soon be back out there, give your little one a granny hug, my grandchild is still at the baking stage so all I can do is speak to a tummy bump.

Thank you ๐Ÿ˜Š Will definitely administer a big granny hug ๐Ÿค—

Is bump moving around yet? Thatโ€™s a pretty nice stage ๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿป We used to read stories to our bumps each night! ๐Ÿ“–

I love the sense of liberation and freedom that shines through your post! x

Thank you for your kind comments. Baby bump is a runner. Just at 24 weeks but been running 24/7 for 4 or 5 weeks๐Ÿ˜‰. Mummytobe getting liitle sleep some nights, not impressed when I suggest its practice for arrival. Take care

Thank you ๐Ÿ˜Š Canโ€™t wait to get back out there, but know I must be sensible and get better first!

AlMorr profile image

That probably was caused by some ๐Ÿ› bug going around, just make sure that it has completely gone before resuming your running.

Thanks! Yes, lots of horrid bugs going round. Husband says he has just started feeling queasy ๐Ÿ˜• We might be in for another rough night...

It's horrible when you have to miss a run or two because of illness, but you will recover, make sure you are proper better and then wait until tomorrow! Total empathy, had to miss a week out myself, but I am back up past the point I stopped at and am very glad I waited or I might still not be running now!

Get well soon

Thank you Smelliepoo!

Sorry you had to miss a week and great to hear youโ€™re back on track.

I canโ€™t believe how much I have itchy running feet even after missing just one run! ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ
