So my 2 year old woke up covered in vomit a couple of days back ๐คฎ
Last night, presumably courtesy of said 2 year old, I succumbed to a similar fate ๐ (though managed to be somewhat more discerning with regard to the destination of my vomit...)
Was due a run this morning, obviously didnโt go out. First time Iโve missed one since starting C25K ๐
Still feeling pretty awful and just on the hunt for lots of sympathy really!

You get sympathy & empathy from me in overdose!!!!
๐ค ๐ค๐ค Hope you feel better soon & that no one else succumbs. The run will wait & you will enjoy it all the more for having missed it!! ๐๐๐๐๐
Ach, you poor thing, I feel for you. Horrible being sick, and disappointing to miss a run ๐ But you know what? I bet your muscles will appreciate an extra rest, and when you get back out there (after rest, recovery, hydration), I bet youโll run your best run, and enjoy that fresh air soooo much! Hope youโre getting looked after....
Ooh dear, poor you, first for finding your child like that and then, suffering the same thing yourself. Yes, the rest will do you good, yes, it is essential that you remain hydrated (this is not just a running thing, it's a being sick thing) and yes the runs will be waiting for you, but not until you're feeling ready for them yourself. I wish you both a speedy & complete recovery...
Am trying very hard to stay hydrated, but feel so grotty I am definitely down on the amount of water I usually drink. Will try to build up gradually tmrw...
Massive sympathy. I dedicated my run this morning to all on the IC couch, so count yourself into that group. You had a lovely long 48 minute run in the sun. Take care and I hope youโre back running soon
For me just now, blue skies and the freedom to run and increase distance every week is amazing. I've spent all my life telling myself and others I'm not a runner and like everyone on this forum I am, all thanks to this wonderful plan. You'll soon be back out there, give your little one a granny hug, my grandchild is still at the baking stage so all I can do is speak to a tummy bump.
Thank you for your kind comments. Baby bump is a runner. Just at 24 weeks but been running 24/7 for 4 or 5 weeks๐. Mummytobe getting liitle sleep some nights, not impressed when I suggest its practice for arrival. Take care
It's horrible when you have to miss a run or two because of illness, but you will recover, make sure you are proper better and then wait until tomorrow! Total empathy, had to miss a week out myself, but I am back up past the point I stopped at and am very glad I waited or I might still not be running now!
