Due to complete week 9 this week and graduate. I can’t believe I have reached this point! If anyone had told me that I would be running like this 8 weeks ago I would have laughed myself silly. I have lost 20lbs and a lot of inches and I am proud of my legs for the first time in my life! Due a cataract operation next week. Does anyone know how long it will be after the op that I can start running again?

Graduation and operation
Wow, well done Pinkpanther61 , getting to week 9 is fantastic!! You are so close to being able to wear your graduation badge and I am sure it will suit you down to the ground!! I have absolutely no idea how long the recovery after your op and I hope all goes well and that would be the first thing I would be asking the Doctors!!
Let us know how your last week is going l, cant wait to read about your graduation run!!
Well done on your progress.
We are all well meaning here, but advice from those medical professionals who are dealing with your specific case is much more reliable.
My mother has had a couple of cataract operations and recovery is quick, but how long you need to protect from impact, I cannot answer.
Good luck.
Well done you on your superb progress! 🎉👏🏼🎉Running changes Life for sure. Welcome to the club. 👍 My husband had a cataract op and it is usually straight forward but do get advice before you go back to running. The docs will know! You need to take special care over dust, for example, even though you’re feeling fine. All the best, and happy week 9 running!
A friend at work had that op and was back to work in a couple of weeks, i think if you rest to start with and don’t do too much a short run would be ok but always worth asking at the hospital to see what they say
Good luck
It's great that you have now reached wk9. Best thing to do would be ask the doctor who is performing your surgery . Good luck with w9 and your op. 😊😊
Good luck with the final week, and the op. The Dr or Nurses will probably be able to advise you on when you can run again.
