Finished Week 8 Run 3 this morning. I am so chuffed with myself for getting this far I would never have believed I could have done this when I started out. So for anyone just starting, trust in the programme it does work!! After stubbing my little toe very badly on Thursday I thought my running might be brought to an abrupt halt, ( its turned a very nasty shade of purple including the top of my foot ....ouch). So I set off tentatively this morning not knowing if I would be able to complete week 8 today. I needn't have worried as I managed it, covering 5.25k in total, 4.2k running. I won't quite make the 5k in 30 minutes next week but that's going to be my post graduation goal. These 8 week have flown by and I can't believe it's nearly over .... but then again, its really only just beginning...............!!
And on to graduation week!!!: Finished Week... - Couch to 5K
And on to graduation week!!!
AWESOME!!!!!! Well done Hun you've done fantastic!!!! Lotsa luck for Week 9 ...... OMG can you believe we ARE runners!!!! As you say IT DOES WORK!!! Hope your toe gets better soon xxx
Aww thank you!! I'm still in shock at being able to call myself a runner! Can't wait to see those shiny graduation badges next two both of our names!!! Bring it on!!! Xxx
Brilliant news...so pleased for you! Will be looking out for your Graduation badge!
Many thanks, still in shock that I am almost at the end! Trying to turn my thoughts to some post graduation goals this week as I don't want to flounder and perhaps loose my enthusiasm. The structure of c25k has really helped me so I definitely need to make sure I set some proper goals to keep me both mentally and physically challenged!! Any advice on goals that others have set post graduation would be gratefully received!!
Well done on finishing week 8 - I know how the time flies and it will go even quicker now you are about to embark on your graduation week. You deserve to feel chuffed, by this time next week you will be fizzing. There are quite a few options for after you've graduated. I'm using the Samantha Murphy podcasts as these suit my stride - I'm only doing half of each one though because I'm still working towards 5K and the podcasts are for 10K - music is fab though. Enjoy your graduation week, good luck with the first run of week 9 and very best wishes.
Thank you for your kind words. I've seen a few people talk about those podcasts on here, so will have a look. I will be working towards 5k too post graduation, I would be very happy if I could eventually run it in 30 mins or below! I suppose that was my original intention when setting out on this journey. I haven't looked at the 5k+ podcasts yet ( don't want to tempt fate!) Thinking maybe I should increase the running time for a bit maybe to 35 mins and hopefully the 30 min runs will feel slightly easier? I definitely exercise better when I have someone telling me what to do so I'm not too sure I am ready to say good bye to Laura just yet!! Best wishes and good luck with you running,
