Graduation and further runs...

A good week of running this week, completed Couch to 5k on Tuesday, and then decided to try and time how long it takes me to actually do 5k.

Thursday I did it in 36.56 minutes, and today I did it in 36.34 minutes. I'm always trail running on a heath so this is bogs-sand-hills-gravel-undergrowth and you have to go through several gates, so I suppose that all slows things down, but I was hoping I would be a bit faster than that, but hoping I can use this baseline to improve! :)

You're doing great don't speed up too much that you then give yourself an injury. Just enjoy running. 😊

I did Couch to 5k in the first place to get back into running without getting injured, so yes, best to build up slowly :D

Congratulations on the 5k(s)

Sub 37 is a very good time for a brand new graduate, and that’s without the bogs, sand, gravel, undergrowth and of course the hills!

I don't really know what counts as 'good', so that's handy to know, thanks :D I'm getting used to the mud and sand, but random brambles and mainly the hills are not my friend! Hopefully good practice though!

There is no “good”... well, not as a defined pace. Don’t let athletics on the TV fool you, the only runner everyone competes with is themselves, even when at a marathon start line with 40000 other runners in the “race”
