I graduated about 10 days ago and then went on holiday. I’m now back and feel a bit lost and I guess I feel a bit nervous of running again after a break. I think I will repeat an earlier week to get my confidence back. It seems weird to have finished week 9 and not have the app to egg me on whilst running! Does that make sense to anyone?!
Post graduation - feeling lost!: I graduated... - Couch to 5K
Post graduation - feeling lost!
I think that sounds like a good plan. 😁Repeat one of the weeks to get you back in the groove, and it will give you time to think about what you need to keep you running. Good luck 👍
It makes perfect sense and you are not alone in feeling a tad lost. Rather like the beginning of c25k though... the hardest run is that first "free" run. Once you start you'll be just fine! 👍😉
It makes perfect sense. Agree with the posts above - repeat a week or 2 then maybe pick up one of the 10k plans from the B210k forum. Good luck!
Have you read the guide to post C25K running?healthunlocked.com/couchto5... which hopefully will give you some pointers.
What's wrong with that Week 9 that you've done 3 times successfully? Doing an earlier week will not give you better information than doing Week 9.
Plenty of people just carry on with the Week 9 session until they get bored and look for something else or have developed more of a sense of what they fancy doing next.
Off you pop... your confidence will catch you up, don't worry.
I did my first post-grad run this morning, but I didn’t hang around as I wanted to keep my running schedule on track - I only graduated on Friday!
I tried using W9R3 again, but MJ abandoned me somehow, so I did actually run solo ((had MapMyRun on, so luckily I was getting split times). It felt ok actually, not as scary as I thought.
You’ll be fine, give it a go! 😀😀😀
You don't need to go to an earlier week, just consolidate using w9r3 a few weeks until your body gets used to that time. My post grad target was to do a parkrun so maybe try that if you have one nearby. Once you can achieve 5k with no problems you could do jujusplan to get to 10k. The main thing is to vary runs to keep your interest👏😀
The best part about this is you're just a person now, a person who runs!
So (unless you really really want to) you don't have to do go back and "do a week": just go for a run. A run. Like a runner does. Maybe have a goal of time or distance or a certain loop you like, but just run like runners do. That goal might be and can be less than the last run you did, but it doesn't have to be locked into this program.
But if you miss the comforting prompts of your app, by all means fire it up again!
I think it was more that I had graduated and then not run for 10 days due to holiday so was nervous about being able to get back to running for 30 mins straight away. I did 25 mins this morning so on Tues I’ll just go back to 30 mins and just continue to do that for a few weeks. I do have a park run nearby so going to give that a go!
Just check the link out from IannodaTruffe ...

Lots of consolidation too...30 minute runs and then different routes and distances..then so much to to choose from.. after that
