I was way too optimistic about this run, I thought it would be easier lol
I really struggled with my lower legs hurting. My calves and my shins. I’m guessing that’s just due to increased running time.
I didn’t give in though, pushed on through at the thought of this feeling once it’s over! I feel elated now!
I am definitely nervous about run 3 but also looking forward to it!!
I hope everyone is enjoying their week and enjoys what’s left of it! The younger two boys and I are off to do Halloween things the next couple of days (the oldest is too cool for that these days, lol)
The oldest and I in the pic (me looking less sweaty for once 😂)

Well done for getting through it, from experience though don’t push too hard you don’t want to hobble home
When we did w5r3 we were nervous so started off really really slowly and the time passed more quickly than expected with a little left for a short sprint at the end we lived that run
ah i’m a bossy know all but from running on a bit of a sore foot i ended up with a non healing blister and long lecture from nurse who dressed it gave me antibiotics and time not running lol
What a lovely photo!! Susan you are doing so well👏👍 Be careful of injury..when your body starts hurting it usually means you are running too fast even if you don’t feel as if you are. Try slowing it right down until near the end. Then sprint if you have more in the tank. Your fitness for the longer runs will build up more readily this way. It’s also very important to increase your water on both rest and run days now!
What a lovely photo of you and your son, glad you enjoyed your run, onwards and upwards to run 3 of week 5, just take that run slow and steady, good luck🏃🏾😊
Well done for pushing through but please be kind to yourself. You have a busy life and injury would impact on you and your lovely boys. Slow down a bit, there is the rest of your life for speed. Take care and enjoy the next run.
