Week one run one completed. Was quite hard running outside with my asthma. I did it with a group so that helped even though I was the last in the group but it doesnโ€™t bother me.

Looking forward to run two on Thursday ๐Ÿ™‚

Really well done. I found the first half of run 2 a little tough, but I felt much better at the end and recovered much quicker.

I've not really been doing this long enough to be qualified to give advice, but I'd just say, be a little careful of running with a group. You might end up pressuring yourself to run faster that you're comfortable with. Slow and easy.

Good luck with your next run and let us know how you get on!

Well done on starting the C25K.

You are right, running in a group should not put pressure on you.

Thank you. I did find my self pushing myself to try and keep up but then slowed down. Iโ€™ve done the c25k earlier in the year but on the treadmill but struggled to run outside at all. So trying to correct that.

Well done for starting this amazing journey. Hopefully you'll get as much out of it as I have (and I've only just started Week 3). For me, my running has to be a solitary exercise as I need to find (and maintain) my own pace, which is slow! I'd feel very self-conscious running with other people at the moment (in fact I'm still feeling very self conscious with my running even on my own!). Keep up the good work and keep posting your progress on here, you will get lots of encouragement and when you need it, very helpful advice too.

Thank you. To be honest running with a group is easier for me because youโ€™re not as self conscious.

Great you've started again. Hope you manage outside as you have asthma . Fingers crossed for you. ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘

Well done on the run.

It's great you are running with a group as they can encourage and assist.

Don't feel pressured, take it as steady as you need.

I'm transitioning to running outside after completing the program twice on a treadmill, also got my wife on the program too, she's just done week 6 run 3 on the treadmill, she has asthma too and when we do run outside cold air, etc, tends to trigger hers, hence she's doing some of it in doors.

She wears a cowl over her mouth outside and it helped on the last run outside.

Thank you thatโ€™s really helpful. Iโ€™ll purchase one and will probably need it as the weather gets colder.

Iโ€™ll remember the cowl idea when it starts to freeze up. Running at midday at the moment but will have to start running earlier soon.

I ran this morning, it was 4 degrees outside my house and 2 degrees when I got down to the canal path, within 10 minutes I was hot and sweaty, I'm lucky that I don't suffer from much, if anything really and I'm really stubborn, I will argue with myself and push myself to do another minute and then another and then another.

Well done - I run alone so am not tempted to speed up or chat.

Well done! Iโ€™ve only on W3, but prefer to run alone, at least to start off with. I want to run completely at my own pace so as not to exert myself to much and to avoid injury. Itโ€™s a snails pace, but getting better with each run. Looking forward to see8ng you around here and your progress reports! ๐Ÿ˜

If you are not already on a powder inhaler (I use Relvar Ellipta), it might be worth discussing with your GP. I am only running now because of a recent change in meds. My asthma nurse is apparently on a bit of a mission, switching patients to this combination therapy. I am finding it absolutely brilliant!

Thank you. I have an appointment tomorrow with my dr so will discuss it with her. Iโ€™m just on the brown and blue inhaler at the minute.

Great! It might not be for you, but for me with exercise induced asthma, it has been a total game changer! Best of luck!
