Shouldn't have even gone out today really, due a rest day but I just struggle to fit in my runs around my busy social calendar - talk about first world problems.
Anyway that was a really sad effort, literally ran 5 minutes and then just went "nah, not my day", I can almost see Sarah Millican's disappointed little face π
Slightly deflated but not too upset, have to remember I'm amazed to have got this far already without having to repeat any runs!
Oh well, lesson learnt, I'll have a proper rest and try again next time.

I have not even considered running on my rest days as I can feel my body needing the time off... I was due to run today but have decided to take an extra day off as my legs feel heavy so going to do Parkrun in the morning if they are feeling better.
After getting so far you have certainly not failed..... I guess it is more about you asking more of your body than it wants to give.
Keep up the great work and good luck when you go out next
Feel I should clarify, I have had a rest day since my last run, I just have other things going on too and I guess they just add up. Just have to remember that I'm only human don't I π And that waiting one day more is not the end of the world
I'm trying but I do have to remind myself, might have let it slip a little today. Thanks you're right, I know it's important and do notice the difference if i dont drink enough
Hopefully Sunday. Bit under the weather at the moment and also seem to have pulled a thigh muscle, so having a couple of rest days and hoping Iβll feel ok to go out on Sunday...
It is tough to fit 3 in at times, especially if you've got other physical activities. If I have a really tough day at work there's nothing left to run.
Part of succeeding with running is listening to your body but it can take a while to learn when its whinging or really has something to say.
Not a failure, just a run postponed. Take it easy ππ»π
No where near a failure just a delay. Your doing great stick at it listen to your body, drink the water and in my case eat the bananas π they really help. Go again after your rest day and take your time.
Hey Parky. Maybe next run go somewhere different. One day I didnβt really want to go so got dropped off and had to run home. And it was raining so made me go faster! Good luck. Iβm on week 8 run three - planning to do it tomorrow. Go for it girl!
