Week 8 Run 2 a tough one

Had put it off all day but went late afternoon. I had nothing left in the tank but finished it! Only found a good pace around 15 minutes in and then lost it again. Why is that?

Can’t say it was my best run but I guess there are good runs and not such good runs.

Yes. Was toxic and I never got the pace back. By the end I was counting down the time. It seemed forever!

The first ten minutes of a run you are asking your body to do more but it takes a while for the extra oxygen you are breathing in to get to your muscles so it can feel like hard work to run, you would get a better explanation from google but that’s basically it

Realised how little water I drank today so guess that won’t have helped.

That can do it! but sometimes there’s no reason, we struggled a bit near the end of the programme but really started to enjoy it once we’d graduated

Thanks for your support. It feels odd to be close to the end of the programme!

Well done! I remember having a couple of runs towards the end of the programme like that. Toxic ten! I found warm up exercises before heading out helped a lot! Good luck

Thanks and need to do more warm up plus hydrate. Reckon I was a bit dehydrated. Bit proud of myself for not giving up!!

Well done for completing it! I found the last 2 runs of week 8 particularly tough. Gave myself an extra day off before starting week 9 and enjoyed my run today. Maybe you just need an extra rest day...

Good luck with Run 3
