I'm so happy to have got this far but I'm gutted because on my last couple of runs my foot is really hurting and now just to walk on it.. I feel really worried about just stopping and all those weeks just lost but all the same I don't want to damage my foot further. Do folks think rest is best or soldier on?

Rest. For certain. I had to take a 1 week break near the end due to a back strain. Soldier on and you risk something not easy to fix. Sorry.

Hiya, have you got yourself some decent trainers and perhaps had your gait analysed? I’ve just done w8r3 and probably the only body part that doesn’t ache is my feet! ;-) i did treat myself to some brooks trainers in w4 and I’m sure they’ve helped a lot. If you’ve already done the running shoe thing I’d say rest up for a bit and possibly see a sports physio. I wouldn’t soldier on in real pain. Good luck!

I thought my trainers were great until this started so maybe I do need to get my gait analysed?!

I'm having a few days rest and if that doesn't help I'll see a physio.. I can't let this stop my progress now. I never thought I'd be able to run for 30 mins so I don't want to lose it all now.

Well done to getting to week 8. Tough act to follow

Are you remembering to stretch properly after?

What part of the foot hurts? How much?

You could try some painkillers ice and of course resting it.

I must confess that I don't think I've stretched enough as my calves were so stiff and now my foot hurts so I guess kts related. My foot hurts across the top to the outer edge and underneath and feels almost like it needs to crack or something. It's got worse lately and hurts to walk on too.

I'm taking a few days off to see if that helps. Feels so annoying when I only have a few runs to go!
