first post after 4 weeks training, seem to be doing okay until this week. normally cycling but though i would give this a go. i am not out of breath but legs are tightening up when running. anybody else getting the same. really quite painful.

Sounds like you could be pushing too hard... please have a read of the guide specifically on hydration and pace

The muscles down the front of my thighs used to tighten up. Find a gentle way of stretching the tight muscles and make sure you have the day off in between runs. It will get to the point where it doesn't happen. You'll be able to go out for a run and feel fine afterwards. All part of your body building up the muscles needed for running. Keep it up 👍
