Week 4 run 2

I did this yesterday. I felt so tired though and had to slow down. I wasn't jogging that much faster than the walking bit. But I kept going. Snails were overtaking me!

Well done for keeping going - and getting the C25K message that it doesn't matter how slowly you go, just that you do. I started C25K 2 years ago and by some definitions I'm still not fast enough to count as jogging let alone running but I don't care. I'm out there regularly rather than being all gung ho for a few months and then doing nothing.

I felt like this on w3r3 but next run was fine. I think sometimes we just have a bad run, not for any obvious reason. But you completed and that's what counts. Btw you are at exactly the same stage as me. We can both do this.

Well done! I am like this most of the time, but am finding the recovery after the jog is getting better. I can see a little difference between a jog and a walk, but only just. The important thing is we are out there so keep going- good luck x

Yes, keep plugging away. Gently plodding round is better than being on the settee. You will improve but you just have to go through the runs, one by one. Keep ticking them off and you'll soon be at the end

Happy running!

Congratulations - and keep going! As everyone has said, it doesn't matter how fast you go, just so long as you go. The action of only having one foot on the ground at a time is what makes the difference. This is what will help improve your fitness level rather than just walking, no matter how slow you feel you are going. Give it time, speed will come.

Congratulations, my next run is W4R3, and I plan on doing this tonight, although I do feel I am coming down with a bit of a cold.

You might be slow but you are still lapping those on the couch.

Hi. I've just this minute come back from the same run. I was fine for the first half but the second half was hard. I slowed my walk down between the last 2 runs to give me more time to recover. Well done to us! When I first heard the increase to 5 mins in wk 4 I didn't think I'd be able to do it but here I am.

Damn those snails. Perhaps they're on something illegal.
