W7R2 - running after injury

Evening all, attempting W7R2 after a week back on the couch after injuring my ankle playing football last Thursday.

I last ran on Wednesday last week and I’m a little worried that I’ll have lost some of my fitness. I’m picking up where I left off just to see how I get on...

I’ll let you know in an hour - wish me luck...

Take it slowly and you will be fine! Takes 2 weeks to lose fitness so don’t let the gremlins in!! Snail pace!!

Get in! Did the full 25 minutes, took it slow - this run was much more about “survival” just one I had to get through. So pleased I’ve managed in.

All week I’d be telling myself about the “two week” rule, and then yesterday someone told me that if you don’t run for a week you go back four weeks! FOUR!!

Anyway, obviously not true otherwise this would be a very different post.

Can now put the disappointment of the little injury behind me and crack on towards graduation. I’ve got next week off work so could well be at the start of week 9 by the time that comes around!

Thanks Buddy, I really am - the feeling of achievement is probably as good as I’ve had so far.

I’ve really missed running and felt like I’d been out of it for ages.

Back on track 💪🏼
