Hey folks, I’m down at my caravan and trying to think where I can run (I’m on W2R1). The caravan site is quite hilly, however...the beach isn’t far away...is it much more difficult to run on the beach?
It’s not fine sand, it’s quite grainy, more like tiny stones...failing that I can leave the site and go out to the main road, which I really don’t want to do - I don’t need traffic as my audience 😂

On any sand it’s best to run near the sea and close to low tide so you can get on the wet stuff. If you can check the tide tables, the best time to be doing this would be an hour or two before low tide so you aren’t having to worry about it coming in.
The dryer sand, and especially the dry stuff above the high tide mark is much harder to run on, and takes a lot of energy.
If you really want to run just go out on the main road. You should be very proud of what you are doing. Before I started c25k I would see people running and I would think I wish I could do that. Just a thought to save you waiting about for the right time to run on the beach 😊😊
Done it! Went to the main road...however having only come up said road in a car I actually didn’t realise that the way back was all uphill! Not a big hill, but enough to feel it 😂
