My running beach for the fortnight

Southern ocean. Turquoise water, Lovely beach, Soft white sand so can run barefoot if I want. A big rocky outcrop to finish off the run and a wonderful view as a reward. Only problem is the constant wind.

Oh yes, how absolutely wonderful! What a stunning photo of a truly gorgeous place. You have to post about your runs and add lots of beautiful photos like this one. Have a great holiday! That has just made my morning, thank you 😊

Stunning! Enjoy your runs there - and don't mind the wind; it's just helping with a bit of resistance training...! ;)

Today was 30 knots wind. Not what I am used to.

I don't know what that means in real life, but it sounds scary!

Brilliant photo and post !

Hey anyway if you want to avoid the wind. We can swop places. No wind here near Spaghetti Junction ! When are you sending my tickets for my flight ?

Tad Jealous !!

Hahaha, Qatar airways have specials at the moment. Return between Europe and Perth WA is around A$1200 economy class. 😬

Looks lovely - come on tell us where it is?

West Beach, Esperance Western Australia. We are minding a house and lovely dog for two weeks. Free holiday in comfort, beautiful surroundings and lovely view. Lousy weather today but cosy inside.

Wind speed aside, what a fantastic scene to enjoy a barefoot run, allowing the turquoise water to splash over the feet, while allowing the sand to gently exfoliate, in addition to providing the legs with a fantastic workout.

Be sure to take a bare foot run for me, since I long for British Summertime to come around again, presenting me with the opportunity to indulge in the same. #jealous.

Actually, I had run barefoot on a beach up North and it was very painful. I did not think I would do it again but the sand here is much softer somehow. Completely different stuff.

I'm sorry to hear that you'd previously found beach running Painful, but glad to hear you can at least indulge while holidaying in Perth. Be sure to enjoy, not least the workout your calves will receive.

Not talking to you - had to scrape the ice off my car this morning which meant I was late going to work and couldn't stop to get a coffee!
