Hi Runners!
I have just come back from a long awaited run in my second home Guernsey!! Itβs the second week of a last minute call to travel and it meant that I didnβt run yesterday. I had to work until late and it was too dark outside by the time I finished. So a bit frustrated, I went to bed planning to run first thing in the morning. π€
You know how they say you shouldnβt look at your phone first thing when you wake up? π€¨ Itβs true!! π€£ A very late email was sent last night to say could we speak sometime early in the morning? What does that mean? Who knows? π€·π½ββοΈ Better not run until after the call. π€ and then waiting for the call this morning, (with my kit on, I might addπ¨), that call didnβt happen. An afternoon email came, advising not required now! Hello? ππ½ ππ½.... runner here!! π€―π€£π€£π€£! Too late to run comfortably before it would be time to leave for the airport. I change and put the gear in the suitcase. Staying at a new hotel, I donβt know where Iβll run, but I hope to run. Secretly, Iβm thinking I bet Iβm not going to run today! π€« How will I fit it in? So, Iβm a bit agitated! Which, I later found hilarious! Getting agitated because work is getting in the way of my runs! How dare that happen? ππ
But, as soon as I set my case down..... Iβm in there! Running gear on. The hotel is right by the beach (perfect ππ½) but, itβs getting dark!!....Iβm running! π€¨ And Iβm out for an end of day Headspace run! And there was quite a pace on the old girl too! 3.55km in 26 minutes. Not bad for me anyway π. Usually Headspace runs have resulted in me running slower, (but still enjoying it a lot). But, this time, I felt strong and I felt great about getting out for my long awaited run with some sea breeze!! Bonus ππΎββοΈ by the beach at sunset. Hey, life is pretty awesome!! β€οΈ
