Gonna ‘try’ wk4r1 this morning and I’m not gonna lie I am not looking forward to it. I just can’t see me being able to run the five minutes..twice 🤦🏻‍♀️

I’m only just comfortable with the three minute runs

I’m a bit behind with the programme due to work commitments I should be on wk5 now but I’m pushing on

You can do it. Maybe it won’t be 5 minutes of comfortable, but if you are comfortable running 3 minutes then you’re ahead of where I was, every run in the early weeks was challenging for me. The coach on my training app talks about “becoming comfortable being uncomfortable” and those words come back to me when a run gets tough. When the voice in your head says you can’t do it, answer it back, tell it that you can. Coach yourself through the challenge, slow down when it starts to get difficult, check you breathing early on to make sure you’re comfortable, give yourself a little reward for getting to 5 minutes. Have a wonderful run.

Thank you, I haven’t heard my coach give that talk yet. I will definitely keep this in mind this morning

Believe in yourself, and trust the plan. I think Unfitnomore is right about becoming comfortable being uncomfortable- I know I felt a big breakthrough when I realised that my breathing going faster is not a sign that I need to rest, as I used to think, but a sign that my body is adapting to the need for extra oxygen. Good luck!

I know how you feel, trust the programme and go slow. It's not the speed its your endurance that matters.

Just go out for your run and make sure you slow down. Try not to over think the run . Come back later and let us know how you get on. You can do it 😊

You are out there to become a runner. Believe in yourself and trust the program. You have completed 3 weeks which is amazing!! 👍🌟You don’t want to stay in the comfort zone you want to move on. Each new week is a new challenge to embrace but one that you CAN DO & you will!

Keep on, keeping on. Any run can be repeated but if you keep it nice & slow you will get there!! X

Hi everyone I’m so excited I had to post this before my drive home... I did it!! I actually cannot believe i did it!! My first five mins I was shocked to hear my coach telling me to slow down its back to a walk!!

I completely zoned out focusing on my breathing.

I forgot my headphones too so each time I ran past someone I was hoping Sarah wouldn’t speak up 🤦🏻‍♀️ she did once but the person I was running past actually encouraged me ‘go on girl keep it going’

I feel absolutely fanbloomingtastic 🏃‍♀️

Well done, I can just imagine the excitement as well as hoping no-one would hear Sarah, hope you're back home relaxing now😊
