Took it easy on the week I was dreading but not as bad as I thought. Anyone else trying to count the seconds as they run?

🍏That’s an excellent run to have under your belt… slow down and enjoy rather than count seconds… what can you see, hear smell… concentrate on your music lyrics… once you relax your brain will stop telling you it’s hard work …. Don’t worry we have all been there and still go there at times! Running teaches us more about ourselves than we realise. Let us know how the next run goes. Well done! 👍

Well done on another run under the belt 👍🏻

Well done! 👏🏻 I think at this point I was too busy concentrating on my breathing and what my legs felt like to think about the time.
I like to read people’s running journeys and some can describe them really well as they notice a lot on their runs. Like a cute dog, a friendly person, a beautiful garden etc. This will also keep your mind occupied to forget about counting down the seconds.
Good luck and ‘good look’ on your next run.
Well done, I find myself counting when she says in my ear 60 seconds left! 🤣

I find myself counting steps sometimes. In the NRC 10K, CB tells us to be our own head coach sometimes and I've added that to my routine, especially when those unwelcome thoughts pop in.
Best on the rest of Week 4 and do keep us posted.
