It feels really good when out running ( I think so anyway) but the feeling you get after a run is amazing. So what you waiting for get those trainers on and get out the front door. I will look forward to your post later when you've did it. Good luck 😊

Bertie its a beautiful morning waiting there for you. You start by walking which is so enjoyable. Time to think and plan or listen to music... watch summer slip into Autumn colours. This will refresh you not punish you. Think of it as your special time! Attempt the run very slowly, see how it goes...enjoy being out there doing something different. Tomorrow you rest and then you can try again if needs be. So nothing to fear...on with those trainers & let us know how you got on!

Why do you want to do this?

Most of us wanted to get fitter........... C25K delivers.

Many wanted to lose weight.......... alongside a good diet, C25K delivers.

The most unexpected benefits for most are the mental health benefits.

It always sounds corny, but regular exercise really does make you fitter, look better and feel happier.

The plan is very gentle progression and it is impossible to fail unless you give up and return to the sofa on a permanent basis. The jogging doesn't have to be any faster than a brisk walk........you can do this.

C25K has totally transformed the lives of countless thousands, if not millions, of graduates worldwide. It is proven to work.

I have never heard of anyone who regretted starting C25K.

I know loads of people of who have ended up with life limiting conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, stroke and circulation issues, mainly because they were not physically active enough.

It is your choice.............you won't regret it.

I woke up this morning and was disappointed that today was a rest day. You might not want to do it now, but you will be so annoyed with yourself if you don't. It's 30 minutes or less, of "slog" that will make you feel fantastic for the rest of the day. 😊

You can do this.!

😂 ok so with rest days do you have to have it ?? I’m kinda an all for one type of girl 😂

Obviously I don’t mean doing 7 days a week but does it have to be run-day off-run-day off lol

They are really a repair day, so to reduce the risk of injury you should take them, at least until you are a more experienced runner.

I have read that it's okay after 12 months , personally, I did do a consecutive run once, and hurt my calf, so I won't be risking that again.

You can do other, low impact exercise though, walking, cycling, swimming.....

Good luck, enjoy this wonderful programme 😊

Major time child starting school but take this as an opportunity for you to start something new too - why should your daughter have all the fun? Time for you now - keep mentally happy and enjoy autumn. You’ll get loads of encouragement on this forum.

The worse you feel the more you need to tell yourself that you NEED the run. It is absolutely magic for making you feel better mentally and physically. Every single time I have pushed myself out of the door to do it I have felt great afterwards! I suppose once I started I decided I was committed and never gave myself the chance to wriggle out of it.

You can do it...and you'll not regret it! Focus on all the positive things about it each time! Happy running!
