i am in desperate need of motivation! it must be the mood that i am currently in - bored at work! I am going for WK3 run2 tonight and at the moment I am thinking 'CANNOT BE BOTHERED!!!!' please help me get motivated for tonights run guys!!!

It's never easy is it when you feel like you cannot be bothered & I usually find that happens when I think about the run too much before hand and I end up talking myself out of going.
You'll be able to come up with a whole load of reasons not to go out,and most of them are the usual excuses of no time/no energy/poor weather/something interesting on the TV/ kids/family/ etc....... but my advise would be to flip them around & tell your head that there is NOTHING which is more important tonight other than getting your run done - it is only 30 minutes and all of those other things can just wait their turn.
- you are going to get home later, get your kit on straight away, lace up your trainers and head out of the door - no questions no hesitation. Once your out there - well - you might as well just run hadn't you?...
- another little trick is to remind yourself of the reasons why you chose to start running & I can guarantee that what ever that/those reasons were, they will still be there, you still have it in you to do this, just get out there and just do it!

It's not easy when you just cannot be bothered. We all know just what it is like and we've all had days like that. But just imagine how great you will feel when you do get out, finish your run and you have conquered those gremlins on your shoulder that are trying to put you off.
Give it a whirl and surprise yourself! You never know - you'll possibly have your best run yet!

Don't think about it and just go for the run. Any run will be more satisfying than sitting on the sofa and you could try a different location for some variation.

Sarahb its work that you say is making you feel this way. Running is exhilarating, energizing, stress busting, mood lifting, calorie burning and stamina enhancing what more do you need to get you motivated, enjoy

I've had a couple of really stressful day's recently and found that going out and dedicating just a few minutes to myself by doing the C25K podcast has made me feel heaps better about myself and the situation.
I do hope you managed to get out and enjoy your run.
