Just done my FIRST RUN! Not going to lie I found it a lot harder than I thought I would, but the main thing is I've done it.
Sat here now afterwards I feel great and I can't wait to start seeing myself go that little bit longer eventually! One step at a time and all the jazz ๐

Great job... and youโve taken the biggest of those steps. Run 1 is tough... hardest run Iโve ever done. Slow down a little and just keep coming to those start lines, everything else will take care of itself as you run.
Welcome to the forums. Enjoy amazing yourself often on your journey.
Thank you so much for your comment, it really means a lot, your 100% right I need to slow down and not push myself over the edge. I appreciate your support!
Thank you!! I think that's exactly what some people need, at the end of the day we're all doing the same thing and in the same boat ๐ Can't wait for the next few weeks!
Well done! I still think that first run was the hardest one of the programme, and you've done it! I hope you enjoy the journey; you'll get lots of support on here too ๐
I donโt think many of us have found the plan a complete breeze - weโve all found a run harder than others so donโt โworryโ, itโs normal and starting is usually the hardest as itโs completely alien to you, but youโve done it!
Weโll all be here cheering you on any way we can (physically and mentally) with any help you may need ๐ค x
Congratulations ๐The first run is the hardest I thought I canโt do this.. but like you I did and it got better as the weeks went on ๐ slowly does it.keep us updated ๐โโ๏ธ
Well done! ๐ I found the first three weeks the hardest in the whole programme so donโt worry - it will get easier. Key thing is to relax the pace and keep it nice and slow and steady. And try to find a steady rhythm with your breathing - as well as helping you run efficiently with nice deep steady breaths, it also gives you something to focus on.
Well done. This is something that you can do, following the advice and getting lots of encouragement and support from this amazing group. Just don't rush it or push too hard, it will come with time. All the best.
I felt like that last week when I started week 1 but it did get easier. Iโm now on Week 2. Advice I got from everyone was go at your own pace donโt try to run too fast. Good Luck x
OMG the first three weeks I had a thought very single run of โWHY am I doing this to myself! Everything hurts!!โ But I start week 9 tomorrow!! Finish with my first 5k on Sunday. It gets easier. Use ice on anything that hurts, go slow and rock on!!!
Well done you're on your way. Stick to the programme it really does work. I'm proof of that. Now on WK 6 run 2 tonight and never thought I'd run for 20 minutes (completed last week). Take it slow. Speed will come later....
Well done! Small victories. My only advice would be is to move on to the next level only when you're ready. Don't worry about repeating sections. The point is to keep running!
