Week 2/Run 1 Groin Strain

I’ve just completed week 2 run 1 and found it sooooo difficult :(

I’ve also strained my left groin and am worried about how long it will be before I can do week run 2

Sorry to sound like a whinger! I was feeling so positive after completing week 1 but now I’m feeling a bit disheartened.

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5... and includes advice on pacing and dealing with injury.

Rest up until pain free, then start up again, but be kind to yourself and stay slow and steady.

Enjoy your journey.

I picked up a groin strain as soon as I started my half marathon plan... it was frustrating but I didn’t run until the pain had gone... I’d rather be a little unprepared on race day than make the injury worse and maybe not get to the start line. Same here but with no set date for your last run. Hope it settles quickly for you.
