I do however feel very fatigued, on some sedating medication and hardly slept last night so this will be a challenging one just hope it doesn’t put me off!
Wish me luck!

Well done to Pymander10on on your progress on doing C25K, however, I think as you say you are feeling very fatigued and on medication you should take a few extra days off running until you don't feel so bad.
Thanks AlMor! I was thinking about it and I know the medication must have been out of my system and I think I was quite wobbly from such a bad nights sleep. I’ve also developed sciatica and I found running (very slowly) really helps. So I got out there, it was hard especially at first and my back hurt but after a while it was fine and I managed pretty okay and feel so much better now so I’m glad that I went
Please do make sure you feel on form before you run... The runs will wait until you feel better and please don't run if you are in pain. Some exercises to help with the sciatica could be useful too.
Thank you Oldfloss! After a few aches and pains at the start I got really into it and glad I did as I feel so much better and hopefully will contribute to a better nights sleep! Oh thank for the videos. At this stage I’m not sure what is causing it
Everything going on in our lives can impact on our performance as a runner. Restedness, hydration and nutrition are at the top of my list of variables that need to be optimised to enable enjoyable running.
Thanks IannodaTruffe! Thank you I’m so pleased and it’s doing me the world of good being back out there. I’m on top of the hydration I think but I do struggle with restedness and nutrition. I have problems sleeping and eating regularly but I think the running will help with that. Thanks for the link I’ll have a read through!
Yes I tend to try and do the same and try not to feel guilty about it! I find that the hard bit! It did make me feel much better though and I had a good nights sleep and that’s a bonus of running I was unaware of first!
there Hi ,
Good luck and take your time to push on through your fatigue taking it as slowly as you can
I wake up 2 or 3 times each night as I have an eating disorder
I am of normal weight but often feel tired
This week as keen asI was to start my week 4, I hurt my back by overstretching after having a bath and trying to reach up to turn on the fan extractor😢
I could barely walk the next day and still have a slight pain today - 4 days later!
Needless to say, like my advice to you,I need to stay patient and will try again next week if my back pain subsides
All the best to our lovely community!
We will all get there-however long it takes and whatever problems pop up along the way👍
I’m so sorry you are struggling and have an eating disorder. But huge well done for doing this programme. I have found it so beneficial for my mental health. I desperately need this at the moment as this week my husband has asked me to leave. I’m getting support from woman’s aid and they should have a flat for me the week after next
Honestly running is like my safe haven st the moment. I’m scared where I might be living that they have no running routes as here it is perfect as I have a cycle track right behind my house. I have terrible anxiety and struggle getting out of the house to having it so close to my home really helps. But now it’s not my home
I’m sorry for blurting this out. Yes this community is the absolute best. When I’ve struggled and had injuries everyone had been so kind with great advice. I’m building myself up for a run now as I had a better nights sleep last night
Thank you for replying it’s helped me get motivated!!
